Welcome to Tamesa London Circle.
Tamesa London Circle was formed in 2006 to celebrate, honour and work magically and spiritually with the River Thames, and it’s spirit (or deity)- known as Thamesis, Tamesa or Thames Isis.
River Thames has a long association with London’s history and is full of ancient mysteries- worshiped from Tribal times to Romans and modern pagans and Hindus. Ancient artefacts and bones of cattle and human are still burried in it’s depths,. These often surface after a high tide, along the shores.
Tamesa Lunar Circles (TLC). Ritual magic group. suitable for beginners and experienced magical practitioners. Regular outdoor rituals on the banks of river Thames, and in nearby parks when appropriate. These rituals are based on Lunar cycles (full moon, dark moon, eclipses and work with energies and tides of the river Thames. Hence ritual days, times and locations vary. Contact us to join.
*new* Courses in 2008: Introduction to Practical Magic & Witchcraft- (5-9 weeks. evenings. starts in feb-march-april 2008. . Techniques & tools of magic and empowerment, transpersonal psychology, symbols, spell craft, wiccan & shamanic practises explored. There will be a One-day course (saturday or sundays) in the summer of 2008, (some outdoors!) and an another evening course in autumn 2008 (October-november). Suitable participants who complete the basic course will be able to get involved in an outdoor ritual group.
Socials: Annual picnics, boating trips, pub crawls, Themed walks, Fancy Dress Ball on and around river Thames. A summer trip to source of the river Thames is also panned for 2008.
